There is no substitute for cleanliness; it is something that is must for everyone! Today, all people all around the globe are aware of the prime importance of keeping yourself and your surroundings clean and hygienic.

Carry Your Safety Net along When You to a Salon!

Going to a salon is also our utter necessity, but in devoid of good hygiene, it is only like suicidal! So, whether or not your salon is keeping up with the hygiene standards, you can pick the hygiene sword yourself to protect yourself while visiting any of these salons or beauty parlors. The one thing that you can do is to carry disposables with you so that you do not have to use the re-usable products given in the parlors. Hygiene is a very crucial aspect when we talk of salons as their nature of treatments, which they execute on the clients, calls for a grave need of hygiene; else they put their clients’ health as well as their workers’ health both on high risk!

Salon Hygiene – You Need It, All Need It!

The footfall in salons and beauty parlors is heavy on all days. Numerous clients visit the salons, and may bring millions of germs with them. Mainly, three major types of germs are there including bacteria, virus and fungus. Most of such germs may be harmless but some may cause different types of infections, which are called pathogens, and they spread from person to person by using the same clothes and equipment on the bodies of all clients without sanitizing them properly. These are basically the micro-organisms, which we cannot see with our eyes, and which have the capability of causing several types of infections in humans. Both, salon workers and clients are at risk equally. As a thumb rule, one should carry Salon Disposables and own changing clothes while going to a salon to prevent catching any type of infections. When human body gets infected or gets aware of any new infection, then it protects itself by increasing blood flow in that area; this makes the skin in that region look red & inflamed. RBCs or red blood cells do the clotting and prevent bleeding in the wounded region of the skin, and WBCs or white blood cells attack the pathogens and destroy them; thus forming pus in that area of the skin. This can be seen in the form of spots on the face. Sometimes, when you are getting a skin treatment done at a salon, then skin may feel itchy & flakes off, if there is any infection.

Maintain Good Salon Hygiene

·         Hairdressers and/or beauty therapists’ job requires the recognition of any signs of infections at their salons, and to be extra vigilant so that the clients as well as the workers at the salon are not affected due to the spread of these infections.

·         For the salon visitors, the best way to keep your salon visits hygiene-friendly is to keep yourself clean in the first place, and do not give in to the wrong practices usually followed, and also guide them about the same.

·         For the salon owners, it is their responsibility to ensure that the Salon Products and working environment of your salons is clean, and is not having any adverse effects on the health of the clients and/or the salon workers.

These are the combined responsibilities of all, the salon workers as well as the clients visiting the salons, to avert the possible spread of infections by using the fundamental hygienic practices like the use of disposables, sanitizing the equipment after every use.
